  • 1 piece banana
  • 3 cm cucumbre
  • 1 hand blueberries
  • 1 cm fresh ginger
  • 1 cm kurkuma
  • 200 ml unsweetened almondmilk
  • 30 ml ahornsirop
  • 1 tspn macapowder

Directions

  1. Put all ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth. Preferably you make sure all ingredients are at roomtemperature instead of out of the fridge. The ginger and curcuma will heat up your digestive fire so all raw stuff is getting digested well. Fresh curcuma can be found in most organic stores. You can keep it for a while, so better to take a bunch and keep it in the veggiedrower of the fridge. The maca will add some proteins to your smoothie and is also a great hormone modulator. It gives a energy boost to your whole system and is packed with calcium and iron.

Tips

According to Ayurvedic knowledge smoothies are not the greatest food, because of the cold and raw ingredients. The combination of fruit with yoghurt is also a conflicting one in our digestive system. After a while and especially when eaten a lot, the digestive fire gets weakened. In the right time and place with nice heating herbs, I think it is ok, no?
